Located in the peaceful Siddheshwar Lake and close to the historic Bhuikot Fort, the Siddheshwar Temple Solapur is a special place for spiritual seekers, known as a Gramdevata of Solapur.

The temple is just 2 kilometers from Solapur’s main railway station and can be reached easily by bus or auto-rickshaw.

This temple is located in the crowded areas of Solapur city. However, parking for 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler is available in the temple premises.

During festivals, it’s better to come by public transportation to avoid inconvenience.

What to See at the Temple?

The temple premises is very clean and pleasant. Temple structure is simple but attractive provided with a huge steel dome structure for devotees to sit and pray peacefully.

Siddheshwar Lake:

The Siddheshwar Lake is next to the temple and is a favorite spot for both pilgrims and tourists. Locals enjoy boating at the lake. Feeding the fish in the lake is considered an act of devotion.

According to a legend, holy rivers asked Shri Siddheshwar for permission to stay in the lake, making it sacred.

At night, the temple’s lights reflect beautifully on the water, creating a magical view.

Free Food Service (Annachhatra):

During the Gadda Yatra and throughout the year, the temple provides free food to devotees through its Annachhatra (community kitchen). The seating capacity of Annachhatra is 125 people at a time.

During the festivals Annachhatra provides meal to around 10,000 devotees. This service ensures that all visitors, regardless of their background, can partake in a meal as a symbol of equality and compassion. The Annachhatra is supported by donations and is an integral part of the temple’s commitment to serving the community.
